Project DARYA, ETF: Seminar “Graduate Survey and SCAFFOLD: Tools to Support Lyceums”

On February 25–26, 2025, the seminar “Graduate Survey and SCAFFOLD: Tools for Supporting Lyceums” was held in Bishkek. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (MoES KR) and the European Training Foundation (ETF) for deputy directors of vocational lyceums.

As part of our collaboration with ETF, logistical support and the program component of the event were ensured. The Executive Director of AED delivered a report and moderated one of the key sessions of the program.

Participants discussed the preliminary results of the graduate survey, its impact on educational programs, and the SCAFFOLD tool—an innovative methodological approach aimed at developing key competencies among students. Special attention was given to aligning educational programs with labor market demands.

The seminar brought together representatives from MoES KR, ETF, lyceum leaders, and educators. Key takeaways included the need to continue collecting graduate data to enhance educational programs and integrate SCAFFOLD into the teaching process. Additionally, participants emphasized the importance of coordination between government agencies, educational institutions, and employers to ensure the successful employment of graduates.

Joint efforts will help improve the quality of vocational education and facilitate graduates’ successful adaptation to the labor market.
