«LEARNING WITHOUT BORDERS: TAJIKISTAN AND KYRGYZSTAN TOGETHER» — EXCHANGE VISIT IN DUSHANBE

From September 18 to 20, 2025, an exchange visit took place in Dushanbe between the Association for Education Development in Kyrgyzstan (AED) and the Alliance of Civil Society Organizations in Tajikistan for Education (AOTO). The event, held under the theme “Learning Without Borders: Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan Together,” became a vivid example of regional cooperation and mutual learning.

The AROK delegation presented the activities of its member organizations — Smile.KG Public Foundation and the Kyrgyz Adult Education Association (KAEA) — while Tajik partners shared their experience in operating resource classes, promoting the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and implementing vocational training programs.

The program included visits to Resource Center No. 28, the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities, and the Republican Center for Adult Education, where participants learned about innovative approaches to lifelong learning.

At the conclusion of the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between AED and AOTO, outlining plans for joint projects, research initiatives, and experience exchange in 2026. This event marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, reinforcing civil society collaboration and laying the groundwork for future initiatives in inclusive and sustainable education.
