Activities (campaign and trainings) on early detection and prevention of violence against children in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan have been completed
In three cities in the south of Kyrgyzstan — Osh, Batken, and Manas — the Association for the Development of Education in Kyrgyzstan carried out activities aimed at strengthening the child protection system.
As part of the campaign, the following were organized:
trainings on the topic “Recognizing signs of domestic violence against school-aged children and providing initial support”

information sessions on the topic “Recognizing signs of domestic violence against children and mechanisms for providing support.”

A total of 183 participants took part in the activities, including teachers, school specialists, parents, representatives of local self-government bodies (quarter and housing committees), community activists, and other stakeholders.

In the course of the activities, participants:
* became familiar with the signs of domestic violence against children;
* discussed its impact on children’s physical and psycho-emotional development;
* gained knowledge of mechanisms for providing initial support and protection;
* examined response procedures and the importance of inter-agency cooperation;
* emphasized the role of schools and local communities in the early identification of cases of violence.
Particular attention was given to the need for timely response and the development of clear action protocols when cases of violence are identified.
We would like to express our gratitude to our member, the Public Foundation “Center for Development and Protection of Vulnerable Groups of the Population,” for its support in organizing and implementing this campaign, as well as for its professional contribution to the delivery of activities in the regions.
Child protection is a shared responsibility of families, society, and the state. The implementation of such initiatives contributes to strengthening the professional capacity of specialists and enhancing the child protection system at the level of schools and local communities.
