Joint meeting of AED members – 15-17 January 2026

On 15–17 January, a joint meeting of AED members took place, focused on the development of analytical practices, data-driven work, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in professional practice.

The session brought together members of the Association who had completed the full joint learning cycle, as well as colleagues who had not previously been involved in the programme but were interested in developing their analytical, communication, and project-related competencies. This composition made it possible to examine the programme’s outcomes not only from an internal perspective, but also through an external professional and managerial lens.

Over the course of three days, participants:

-presented and further refined analytical briefs;

-worked with AI as a tool to support analytical and expert thinking;

-developed practical approaches to data visualisation and the effective packaging of analytical insights;

-rehearsed the pitching of analytical products;

-analysed the joint learning format as a method and operational tool within AED’s activities;

-formulated proposals for the development of future joint learning programmes.

Particular attention was given to reflecting on the joint learning format itself, including its strengths, limitations, and the conditions required for its sustainable application in AED’s analytical, project, and coordination work. As a result of the session, key principles and requirements for future AED joint learning programmes were identified, forming the basis for the further development of this direction.
