Joint Education Sector Review 2025
On February 26–27, the Joint Education Sector Review (JESR 2025) took place, serving as a key platform for discussing reforms and strategies in the education sector.
The event brought together representatives from government institutions, educational organizations, development partners, and civil society.Key discussions focused on the implementation of the “Altyn Kazyk” Education Transformation Program and the monitoring of educational initiatives.Executive Director of AED Bashirova M., spoke on behalf of civil society with a presentation on “Civil Society Organizations’ Initiatives for Education Transformation”, highlighting the role of CSOs in education processes.We sincerely express our gratitude to our colleagues:
– Public Foundation “Institute of Peace and Development” for the initiative to promote Peace Clubs—an extracurricular activity model aimed at developing soft skills and preparing students for adulthood. One of the key directions of this work is the establishment of Peace Clubs, which are voluntary associations of students, teachers, and local leaders dedicated to promoting a culture of peace and nonviolence within communities.
– Teach for Kyrgyzstan for the initiative “Zamanbap Mugalim”, which is part of a global program implemented in 65 countries. This program attracts the best graduates from local and international universities to work in public schools. Additionally, the organization is piloting elements of dual education in pedagogical practice.
– Public Foundation “Center for Innovative Technologies and Education” for the implementation of the “School of Competent Parenting” initiative, which introduces approaches to improving parents’ pedagogical literacy.
– To the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, EdNet, for developing an online comprehensive teacher training program covering current educational topics, including the integration of artificial intelligence in the teaching process.
– Public Foundation “Smile.KG” for establishing the Cultural and Educational Inclusive Center “Asman”, which provides educational and creative opportunities for children and youth with disabilities.We express our gratitude to our partners for their important initiatives aimed at the development and improvement of the education system, and we look forward to further collaboration in promoting education for all.
