Information sessions on Gender-Sensitive Pedagogy and Inclusion for Vocational College Teachers in Osh and Batken
On September 19–20, a member of AED, Begayym Orozakunova, Chairperson of the public organization Proftekh.KG, conducted a series of informational workshops on gender-sensitive pedagogy and social inclusion for teachers of vocational colleges in Osh and Batken.
More than 50 teachers from four vocational colleges in Osh and one college in Batken participated in the training. The sessions focused on teaching methods, selection of educational materials, and communication styles that influence the creation of equal opportunities for girls and boys in the learning process.

The workshops helped teachers rethink their usual teaching approaches and see how inclusive and gender-sensitive pedagogy contributes to a safe and supportive learning environment.
According to feedback surveys, over 90% of participants noted the high relevance of the topic and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such an interactive and content-rich training.
This initiative represents another step in AROK’s systematic work to promote gender equality, develop inclusive educational practices, and support teachers across the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
