Decade of Adult Education in Kyrgyzstan – Day VII
Adults learn too!
As part of a series of events for teachers, seminars dedicated to the professional development of teachers were held in Bishkek and Osh. Adult education is an integral part of modern society, where the development of competences and skills is important at every stage of life. Teachers play a key role in the educational process, and their continuous professional development is the key to quality learning.
On the 3rd of October in Vocational Lyceum No. 99 in Bishkek there was a presentation on ‘SCAFFOLD – competences for life’, organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the European Training Foundation. SCAFFOLD is a set of 102 cards designed to help teachers at all stages: from lesson planning to assessment of results.
On 5 October, a similar workshop was held in Osh, where teachers also learned useful approaches and tools to improve the learning process.
These events are an important part of the work to support and develop teachers as key figures in education. Adult education is an opportunity to learn and develop at any age!
