AED at the 9th ASPBAE General Assembly: contributing to the development of transformative education

AED participated in the 9th ASPBAE General Assembly and Regional Strategic Planning Session

From 25 to 28 November 2024, we participated in the 9th ASPBAE General Assembly and Regional Strategic Planning Session held in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The event brought together over 100 participants from 24 countries representing ASPBAE member organisations and partners. The main purpose of the meeting was to take stock of the organisation’s work, discuss the strategic plan for 2025-2028, and celebrate 60 years of ASPBAE’s work in promoting the right to quality education for all.

Key outcomes of the event:

• Defined ASPBAE’s strategic directions for the next three years based on the results of national consultations and cluster meetings.

• Training sessions to support transformative education initiatives and advocacy for marginalised groups.

• Presented youth proposals to address discrimination and ensure equal access to education.

• The ASPBAE Executive Board was renewed.

Our participation in this significant event allows us to contribute to the realisation of global educational goals and strengthen cooperation with international partners.
