Peer Learning Without Borders: Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Together
On June 30 – July 1, 2025, a two-day meeting was held in Bishkek, bringing together representatives of civil society organizations from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan working in the field of education. Delegations from both countries presented the work of their associations — the Association for the Education Development in Kyrgyzstan (AED) and the Association of CSOs in Tajikistan for Education (ACTE).

The event served as a platform for exchanging successful practices, discussing approaches to promoting inclusive education, strengthening team collaboration, and building sustainable partnerships.

As part of the program, participants visited the public association of parents of children with autism, “Ruka v Ruke”, where they became acquainted with the organization’s activities and its center. We were impressed by the professionalism and systematic approach of the team in working with children and their families, as well as their significant contribution to the development of inclusive education. We express our special gratitude to the “Ruka v Ruke” team for their hospitality, openness, and willingness to share their experience, which served as a source of inspiration and valuable informational support for all participants of the meeting.

At the end of the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between AED and ACTE — marking the beginning of a long-term partnership and joint initiatives in the education sector.

The visit was conducted as part of the global initiative Education Out Loud (EOL), which aims to strengthen civil society’s role in shaping and monitoring education policy, and to promote inclusive, accessible, and quality education for all.
