Information seminar on gender equality and social inclusion in the system of primary vocational education
On 28-29 August, an information seminar organised by AED was held at Vocational Lyceums №90 and №110 in Talas region.
The aim of the event was to increase gender knowledge and understanding of social inclusion among teaching staff.The main objectives of the seminar:To increase teachers’ knowledge of the concepts of “gender, gender equality, gender stereotypes, gender socialisation, inclusion in education”.To teach the ability to take into account the peculiarities of male and female psychology, manifested in behaviour, reactions and teaching style.To actively promote the activities of AED in the issues of gender and inclusive approach in education.
As a result of the information session, the 36 participants : Acquired skills for professional compliance with gender equality in education.Learned techniques for delivering presentations on gender equality to students, parents and the public.Developed a basic knowledge and understanding of gender and inclusive issues in all areas of human endeavour.
We are glad that this event helped to strengthen understanding and support for gender equality and social inclusion in educational institutions. We thank all participants for their active participation and commitment to positive change!
