Open discussion for young people

On December 19, AED held an open event for young people—a discussion entitled “Lifelong Learning in Kyrgyzstan: Why and What’s Next?”

Amid rapid social, technological, and climate change, lifelong learning is becoming more than just a trend—it’s an essential life skill. During the event, young participants, along with experts, discussed the importance of lifelong learning for personal development, societal resilience, and the future of Kyrgyzstan.

The program included two key thematic blocks: the importance of lifelong learning in the modern world, the need for continuous knowledge renewal, and the challenges of digitalization and the skills needed by young people today and tomorrow.

The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such open events, noting that they particularly value the space for open dialogue and exchange of experiences. They said such meetings allow them to learn new things, broaden their horizons, and reimagine their future and development opportunities. Participants expressed special gratitude to the speakers—Irina Chistyakova and Semyon Rogozhin—for their insightful and relevant presentations, openness, and ability to build a trusting dialogue with the audience. The topics were presented in a clear and accessible manner, making the discussion lively, engaging, and understandable for all participants.
